CNBC reviewed App Store rankings from Christmas Day to identify which technology companies saw the most consumer activity. The analysis found that Tony's, a smart speaker for children, was the top-ranked app, while Meta's AI glasses and various AI chatbots also saw significant downloads.

Meta's AI app, required for its Ray-Ban smart glasses, ranked second, and ChatGPT and Gemini chatbots followed closely. The Aura Ring made its first appearance in the top 10, and other accessories like the Aura Frame also trended, while some AI chatbots such as Claude and Grok did not make the top ranks.

And CNBC has lately been looking through data to see which technology companies may have won the Christmas holiday. Steve Kovach now joining us with the results. Give us the results, Steve, but also what did you, what did you look through? Yeah, so I do this every year, Brian. I look at the app store rankings on Christmas day because so many people get iPhones on Christmas day and then they download all the apps they need either for their new gadgets that they got and also just, you know, stuff they want to use every day on their phone. So number one, Tony's. Most people are probably not familiar with this, but if you're a parent of young kids, you absolutely are. This is a little smart speaker. You put a figurine on top of it and can tell your kids stories and things like that. It's very interactive and kind of cool. It's like a modern day Teddy Ruxpin. And then I do want to skip over to number 10 real quick because another big hot accessory that would be the aura ring that this is the first year I've been tracking it that it cracked into the top 10. So that is a really popular one again this year. But of course it was still an artificial intelligence Christmas more so than in years past. Meta is the big winner there because of its AI glasses, the ones it makes in conjunction with Ray-Ban. You need that meta AI app in order to activate it and use it. So that's why we saw that number two. And then chatbots also had a big Christmas. So people downloading a chat to BT, that was number three in the app store. And Gemini came in at number six, Alexa at number seven, obviously because people probably got some of those echo devices as well. What I did notice though, some of the chatbots that didn't make it into the top 10 or even 25, Anthropix, Claude, XAI's Grok did not really crack into the mix there. So I found that kind of interesting that we already have in at least the consumer mindset of some winners there. So big AI Christmas, but also a lot of good accessories, not necessarily AI accessories, but some fun stuff going on there too. The Aura frame, I'm sure you guys know about that one as well, that smart digital frame was the big one too.

Some of the stabbed victims remain in serious condition. A 38-year-old man was arrested for alleged attempted murder at the factory, authorities said.
