The concern is particularly pronounced in Ireland, Cyprus, and Spain. Other major concerns for urban residents include the quality of public services, safety in public spaces, and the availability of affordable public transport. Economic development and business opportunities are also seen as important by 29% of respondents. Additionally, nearly 90% of city dwellers believe that renovating existing housing to reduce energy bills would benefit their communities.
