Washington Spirit, the second seed, face eighth seeded Gotham FC in what promises to be a compelling final. For Spirit coach Adrian Gonzalez, Trinity Rodman's fitness is crucial. While Trinity is doing good, she's been, I think, improving so quick, pushing to be able to play. Fortunately, we could see her last week playing some minutes, and she's doing great. So obviously she's going to be available and ready to compete. And the team, I think, is really humble, but at the same time, we have that desire to play the game again and try to bring the championship home. Gotham's run has been built on late drama, none more so than Jaden Shaw's stoppage time winner against Orlando in the semis. For us, knowing that people were counting us out, being the eighth seed, and we knew that we were going to have to show them who we were and show them who we are. One final 90 minutes and a championship waiting for whoever wants it most.
