A fireworks warehouse in northern California exploded, resulting in a large fire and multiple secondary fires spanning approximately 80 acres. The explosion, which was captured on video, sent a mushroom cloud and debris into the air, prompting authorities to establish a one-mile evacuation zone for nearby residents.

Firefighters responded to the scene and found several commercial buildings engulfed in flames, with ongoing explosions as fireworks ignited. The cause of the explosion and subsequent fires has not yet been determined, and investigations are ongoing.

Also capturing the moment CBS Bay Area's chopper catching this dramatic mushroom cloud in the moments immediately following the explosion at a fireworks warehouse. It went up in flames Tuesday night in a rural area in Yolo County outside of Sacramento. Firefighters arrived at the facility that stores fireworks as they exploded sending projectiles into the air. Units responded arrived on scene to find a few commercial buildings well involved as well as numerous explosions. Fire officials say the explosion sparked multiple fires across approximately 80 acres. The blast launched debris around the property and sent a fireball into the air that could be seen for miles. People living nearby say they felt their homes shake. And the windows were just you know going back and forth. As a result of the fire a one-mile evacuation zone was set up. Firefighters say the cause of the explosion and fire has not been determined. For CBS mornings I'm Elyse Preston in Los Angeles.
