He did so in a way that caused no casualties on the American side and got the job done with exquisite intelligence and extreme precision that can only be done by the US. That's why we are the world's great and last superpower. But not everyone in the party agrees. Republican Congressman Thomas Massie took to social media to condemn the operation. If it were about drugs, we'd bomb Mexico or China or Colombia. And the president would not have pardoned Juan Orlando Hernandez. This is about oil and regime change. Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene used to be one of Trump's biggest supporters. But she also criticized the Venezuelan move hours before quitting Congress over major disagreements with the president. She told NBC News, This is the same Washington playbook that we're so sick and tired of that doesn't serve the American people but actually serves the big corporations, the banks and the oil executives. Meanwhile far-right political commentator Candice Owens wrote on X, The CIA has staged another hostile takeover of a country at the behest of globalist psychopaths. Even some Trump voters seem surprised at his administration's latest operation. I'm a Trump supporter. I was a Trump supporter. I'm a little concerned about it. I was just kind of taken back by it, surprised more than anything else. Most Republicans, though, still fully support Trump over Venezuela. I love my president, so I love everything he does. Yeah, I think it's awesome. The Venezuelan people, I'm from South Florida, they're all celebrating. Donald Trump promised to put an end to what he called the US's forever wars. After Maduro's arrest and Trump's suggestion that the US would run Venezuela for the time being, it's unclear where that promise now lies.

U.S. forces have boarded a Venezuela-linked sanctioned oil tanker in the North Atlantic after pursuing it for weeks. The U.S. military also announced the seizure of a sanctioned tanker ship in the Caribbean Sea, the second vessel taken by American forces on Wednesday.
