A University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) football player has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault following an incident where two teammates were stabbed on campus. The attack took place at the Football Operations Building just hours before UAB's scheduled game against the University of South Florida.

The suspect, identified as redshirt freshman offensive lineman Daniel Mincy, was taken into custody. Both injured players are reported to be in stable condition following the incident.
