Some of the more than 300 children kidnapped from a school in north-central Nigeria have broken free from their kidnappers, but Nigerians remain angry at the security lapses that armed groups exploit. In Lagos, residents want security forces and the country's leaders to do more. My take about this security thing that has been on for a while is that it's the right of every citizen of a country to be secured, and I believe it's the duty of the government to do that. So I just want to urge the government to take it as their responsibility to every citizen of the country, and make sure all the security apparatus are working right. The government knows about what is happening, because I don't know why we have an army who has jet fighters, should notice these people whenever they are, but they cannot do anything. That's because most of their children are not in Nigeria, most of their children are overseas schooling. So what are those people doing, who doesn't have money to take their children to overseas so that they don't die? So we should call the government to tell us about what is happening. We don't have a good government. A spate of school kidnappings has hit northern Nigeria last week. The identity of the kidnappers remains unknown. Some states have responded by closing schools entirely. These incidents will have been avoided, however, it's not a time for blame game. Our mission today is to see how we can rescue these children and all those that have been kidnapped in that incident. As such, we are calling on all the security agencies, civil society organizations, organized labor, clerics, to please focus on the rescue of these children. The kidnappings are happening amid U.S. President Donald Trump's claims of targeted killings against Christians in the West African country.
