Some homes were destroyed by the force of the water, with large vehicles such as 18-wheelers displaced and left overturned. Access to several affected communities remains limited, with helicopters being the only viable option for entry. Cleanup efforts are expected to be extensive, and further information is anticipated as recovery continues.

We are just east of Asheville in Swannanoa, North Carolina, and they were just knocked out completely by the Swannanoa River. We're in a community that had mobile homes and also a business right next door that had a bunch of sheds, and the debris is littered about. I mean, I'm not even sure people can salvage much of anything out of their homes due to the water that came through. Imagine how powerful it had to be. 18 wheelers running into these homes as well. There's one that is still on its side over here. You can see where one of these homes used to be and the straps that were around the bottom of the home, and it was just ripped apart and pushed. Still some sort of smoke detector that is going off here, and this community sits right along the river. There it is back into its bakes, you know, babbling downstream here, but there is a lot of cleanup for these people to do. It's going to take a lot of time. This is one of many communities, and still a lot of them, the only way to access them is by helicopter. So I think there's going to be a lot more stories and a lot more information to come in the coming weeks.
