Among the injured, three are reportedly in critical condition. CCTV footage, verified by Reuters, depicts armed individuals approaching the TUSAS building. The exact cause of the explosion remains undetermined, and a state-run news agency has indicated that an investigation is underway.

In response to the attack, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, present at a BRICS conference in Kazan with Russian President Vladimir Putin, condemned the violence and accepted condolences. The incident has also drawn condemnation from NATO, the United States, and the European Union. Turkish Aerospace Industries, employing over 10,000 individuals, is the country's principal aerospace manufacturer and is operated by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and the government.
