News 12 Long Island's Jonathan Gordon is in Farmingdale with more on what's happening this afternoon. And Jonathan, you saw a bunch of people today. Yeah, Jen, look, it's chaotic to say the least on your way just to even approach the course right now. This is Merritt's Road right off of Hempstead. And it's one of the busier areas to try and get into. You can see a lot of traffic backed up, police doing their best to try and get everyone in. And look, part of it makes sense because you have one of the world's biggest golf fans, President Donald Trump, here today in attendance. Secret Service all over Bethpage Black running TSA-style security on everyone who enters the park. And that means walking through those metal detectors, being wanded down, those dogs walking through the crowd as well. There are plenty of uniformed and plainclothes officers patrolling as well. Just before noon, the president arrived at nearby Republic Airport where he was greeted by Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman. And as expected, whenever the president comes to visit, supporters and opponents are here making their voices heard. A pair of small protests are taking place on either side of Merritt's Road, one of the main pathways into the course. And look, if you are still planning to make your way into the course for afternoon action later on today, make sure you leave plenty of extra time. Things are not moving so quickly in and around the course. And remember, several items like folding chairs, large vapes, and insulated drink containers, they are not prohibited at the course today.
