Vance, Don and Eric Trump, and crypto czar David Sachs are here at Bitcoin's flagship event as the administration leans into crypto as a core economic strategy. Bitcoin is surging back toward its all-time high, fueled by ETF inflows, debt fears after Moody's downgrade, and a push to bring the dollar online. ETF funds now hold $134 billion. Stablecoins, backed by treasuries, cleared $28 trillion last year, outpacing Visa and MasterCard. And the shift comes amid a regulatory reset, with the SEC, OCC, FDIC, and Fed rolling back barriers that once blocked banks from using blockchain, paving the way for tokenized treasuries and other real-world assets. White House Digital Assets Council Chair Bo Hines told me stablecoins could unlock trillions in demand for U.S. debt. We're ensuring U.S. dollar global dominance for decades to come. You're talking about trillions of dollars being poured into U.S. treasuries and people purchasing U.S. debt. This is all very exciting for the American people. But the push comes as ethics questions grow over Trump's own crypto holdings, including four tokens that funnel up to 80% of profits to his businesses. And while Bitcoin dominates headlines, the infrastructure push is elsewhere. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev says stablecoins could power 24-7 equities trading. Our belief, actually, that we don't even need congressional action to make tokenization real. The SEC can just do it. And they can do something akin to what they did a few decades ago with Reg ATS. And Tether CEO Paolo Arduano says they're building blockchain infrastructure to replace Swift, Stripe, even commercial banks. So this week isn't just about Bitcoin.
