Authorities have mobilized around-the-clock operations, with volunteers returning to assist after a temporary pause due to dangerous weather conditions.

Support has come from across the United States and internationally, including the Texas National Guard and a search crew from the Czech Republic. The search is complicated by new surges of water and debris, requiring crews to revisit previously searched areas. Officials expect the recovery process to continue for several months.

We do want to start with the latest following the deadly flooding in Central Texas. Back with a partner scene and news source correspondent Ivan Rodriguez is in Kerryville, Texas this morning with more. Ivan, always good to hear from you, wish it was under better circumstances. What's the latest on the search and recovery efforts in Kerr County this morning and how are crews navigating the ongoing challenges from rain and flooding? Bernie Ariella, good morning. While those search and recovery efforts have been happening around the clock, today we're going to also see volunteers come back out and begin to assist. That's news because since Sunday they've actually been asking for volunteers to no longer help out with search and recovery efforts because of the inclement weather and those concerns for potential flooding here in this area of Central Texas. So volunteers will once again be checking in at a local stadium here in Kerrville, Texas. They'll get registered and then dispatched to different areas around the Guadalupe River. In terms of a timeline, the Kerr County Sheriff tells us that for the next month or two they'll keep going strong, possibly even up to six months when it comes to those search and recovery efforts. They're facing a lot of challenges though, these crews, especially when we look back at the last four days now, looking into last weekend, a lot of search crews, for example, with the United Cajun Navy were diving into parts of the Guadalupe River, surveying areas, but they tell us because of the rain and now a new surge of water in the river, they're going to have to backtrack and they're going to have to look through those same areas that they looked for once before. Another image that really struck me from the United Cajun Navy is a picture they shared with a vehicle that appeared to be completely buried in the Guadalupe River under gravel. It gives you a picture of just what they're dealing with out there with a lot of items that may have been buried underground and especially all the complications that come with that new surge of water. Amazing explanation of what is going on. We heard over 2000 personnel are involved. Can you give us a sense of how wide reaching this response is and what resources are being used? It really is resources from all over the country. Yesterday, we heard from Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and he mentioned how nearly half of the states across the country are deploying resources and are here in Texas to help with those search and recovery efforts. We even saw the Texas National Guard post over the weekend saying that a search crew from the Czech Republic has come in to assist as well. So that gives you a sense of just how wide reaching this is. Crews from across the country, crews from even international have come here to help out with those search and recovery efforts. Yesterday, throughout the day, even though volunteers weren't on the ground, we still saw a cruise out on the river as well as helicopters in the sky routinely going over the Guadalupe River survey.
