The initiative aims to address the gender gap in music by offering opportunities in performance, production, songwriting, and business. The first edition will take place in Lagos, with plans to expand to other African cities. The program is open to female artists aged 18 to 35 based in Nigeria.

There are thousands of young women just like me with a voice, a gift and a desire to be heard. I want to be someone that shows people that there's hope because I know that the most heartbreaking thing is to see a light dimmed and a fire never ignited. While the music industry is great, there hasn't always been a space for women. Women creators, women producers, women engineers, women writers. That is why I'm starting the Leading Vibe initiative for the ones that believe, for the ones that have a desire to be heard and a dream to be seen. The ones who dare to be different and who are just waiting for that one space that they can express and be the best versions of themselves. Leading Vibe aims to close the gender gap throughout all areas of music, from performance and production to songwriting and business. The first edition of the programme will be held on August 8th and 9th in Lagos. It should extend to other African cities in the future. The initiative launches with an open call for female artists between 18 and 35 years old based in Nigeria. Participants will receive training and mentorship.
