A taekwondo teacher has admitted to killing a student and a married couple in Parramatta. The murders involved a child and a husband and wife, with the accused arrested after an altercation at the couple's home.

Kwang Yoo, a 51-year-old taekwondo teacher, has pleaded guilty to the murders of one of his students, a child, and a married couple in Parramatta. The bodies of the child and 41-year-old Min Cho were found inside a martial arts studio, while Min Cho's husband, Stephen, was discovered stabbed at their home in Borkham Hills. Before the murders, Yoo told his wife he was expecting a BMW car as part of a new work opportunity. On the day of the killings, Yoo strangled Mrs Cho, took the key to her BMW, and called his wife to say the car had arrived. He then gave a 7-year-old boy waiting in reception icy poles before killing him. Yoo drove the BMW to the Cho residence and stabbed Stephen to death, sustaining injuries during the altercation. He subsequently drove himself to hospital where he was arrested. Court proceedings revealed Yoo's interest in luxury items and social status. He will return to court for sentencing in August.

And on the day of their murders, Yoo told his wife he was excited to be receiving the BMW that day. Yoo strangled Mrs Cho before taking the key to her BMW and calling his wife to say the car has arrived. A 7-year-old boy waiting in reception was given icy poles by Yoo, then he too was killed. Yoo drove the BMW to the Cho's home and stabbed Stephen to death. Yoo was injured in that altercation and drove himself in their car to hospital, where he was arrested. Police later identified Yoo had interest in luxury items, social status and wealth. He viewed multi-million dollar homes and inspected expensive vehicles. Yoo kept his head bowed throughout his brief appearance in court. When asked if he understood he was pleading guilty to three counts of murder, he replied, yes, sir. Family and friends of Mrs Cho cried in the courtroom. Outside, they said they wanted her to be remembered as a kind and caring woman. Yoo will be back in court for sentencing in August.
