Sydney FC has eased through to the Australia Cup quarter-finals with a 2-0 win over local rivals Sydney United FC 58 thanks to maiden goals for forwards Al Hassan Toure and Rhys Youlley.

Sydney FC progressed in the Australia Cup after defeating Sydney United 58 by two goals. Alhassan Toure, a recent recruit, opened the scoring ten minutes into the match, while fellow new signing Rhys Youli added a second goal to secure the win. 

In another match, Wellington Phoenix advanced to the quarterfinals with a dramatic goal in the 94th minute against Nunna Wadding. The Australia Cup action is set to continue, with further matches available on Paramount Plus.
