When it comes to the future of international adoption, my proposal is that the activity of communicating children for adoption to Sweden be abolished. The international adoption has the purpose of offering parentless children in other parts of the world, parents and a loving family. However, questions have arisen about how far these violations have gone. Therefore, I hope that the Commission's investigation will provide an answer or that it is the first step towards providing an answer to these questions. During the probe, investigators said they discovered confirmed cases of child trafficking and illegal adoptions in every decade from the 1970s to the 2000s. The report makes Sweden the latest country to examine its international adoption policies after allegations of unethical practices.
