A surfer at New Smyrna Beach, Florida, was struck in the nose by a spinner shark that jumped out of the water. The incident left the surfer, identified as Darren K, with a bruised bicep but otherwise unharmed. 

Darren K continued surfing for another 45 minutes after the encounter and later described the event on social media as 'just another day at the inlet.' The incident highlights the presence of spinner sharks along Florida's Atlantic coast, but resulted in no serious injuries.

Alright, check out this wild moment along Florida's Atlantic Coast. That's an aptly named spinner shark flying out of the water and hitting a surfer in the nose. It happened Friday at New Smyrna Beach. Surfer Darren K wrote on social media that the shark hit him like a truck. K says he suffered a bruised bicep.
