A series of explosions in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv has destroyed three buses. Israeli authorities are calling it a 'suspected terror attack' and prime minister Netanyahu has responded by ordering an intense military operation in the occupied West Bank.

The United States has joined Israel in striking nuclear targets in Iran. It follows an escalating broader conflict in the region including the ongoing Gaza war.

A series of explosions has occurred in the city of Tel Aviv, Israel, leading to the destruction of three buses. The incidents took place in Bat Yam, located to the south of Tel Aviv. Confirmed by Israeli authorities as a 'suspected terror attack', the wreckage of the buses emitted plumes of smoke visible in the night sky. While explosive devices were discovered in two additional buses, these devices did not detonate.

As a response to these events, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has commanded the military to embark on an intensive operation in the occupied West Bank. This follows the speculation and tension concerning accusations directed towards Palestinians, whom the Israeli government holds accountable for the attack. As a result, Israel has blocked several checkpoints into the occupied territory and imposed security measures requiring bus drivers to inspect their vehicles.

Despite the lack of reported casualties, the explosions have intensified existing tensions. The occurrences coincide with a period when Israelis are mourning the release of their dead from Gaza, further complicating the fragile state of affairs. These developments hint at ongoing unrest and concerns over security in Tel Aviv, which serves as Israel's business hub.

Explosive devices were also found in two other buses which failed to detonate. All this on a day Israelis were mourning the dead being released from Gaza. Speculation as to who was responsible and what their motivations were has spread fast. The Israeli government quick to point the finger of blame at the Palestinians. Many have speculated and I think have speculated with good reason that the Israelis would go right back into full combat and conflict in Gaza after phase one and have very little intention on following through on the remainder of the deal. This could be a message by a Palestinian group that if that happens they can still make it quite painful for the Israelis.
