In an emotional statement on a San Diego beach, Debra and Martin Robinson confirmed they had identified their sons bodies, and are now planning to bring them home.

They traveled to Mexico to identify their sons' bodies, confirming the devastating news of their murders. The Robinsons paid tribute to their sons, describing Callum as a lovable spirit known for his sporting excellence and zest for life. He had made a name for himself in professional lacrosse within the Premier Lacrosse League and had represented Australia in world championships. His brother, Jake, is remembered for his academic achievements and love for surfing, alongside his compassionate nature and aspirations in medicine.

In the same statement, the Robinsons also honored Carter Road, an American national who was traveling with their sons at the time of the tragedy. The global community has shown immense support for the grieving family, with a GoFundMe page raising almost $300,000 from donors worldwide. The parents expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support from both personal and official channels as they commence the somber process of bringing their sons back home to Perth. The couples say they've been overwhelmed by the support received from family and friends and public officials and as preparations begin to bring the brothers back home to Perth, a message of hope.
