Much of the United States is experiencing temperatures 10 to 25 degrees above average, with New England expected to join the trend soon. Several weather systems are moving through the country, contributing to continued warmth, especially in the eastern regions.

A larger trough is forecast to bring cooler conditions to the West toward the end of the week, but the East will remain unseasonably warm. These conditions could result in record high temperatures and record warm lows in several areas, including cities like Detroit.

And there are multiple systems coming through this week. We have the one we're dealing with now, today and tomorrow. Then we have another system that kind of really develops as we head into our Wednesday, Thursday. And then we have another one develops right at the end of the week. With all of that said, we are going to stay pretty warm until we get this bigger trough here in the West towards the end of the week. There it is, okay? So that's going to cool us off in the West, but notice in the East, we are going to stay warm. And this is how everything is connected. How the weather is all connected, the troughs, everything is connected, not only in the US, but around the world. So Friday, there's that bigger trough in the West, but it still keeps us very, very warm. Detroit in the fifties, that's hot. So with that said, we could see record highs, record warm lows for us.
