I've reached out to both the detention center and the county for comment and haven't heard back. Similar protests have been seen across the tri-state, like in downtown Cincinnati just a few days ago. No ICE! No KKK! No Fascist USA! And in Butler County late last year. No more ICE! No more fear! Immigrants are welcome here! The protesters also shared their outrage over the death of Renee Good in Minneapolis last week. Good was shot and killed by an ICE agent on Wednesday. While officials say Good drove her car at law enforcement, protesters tell me that's not what the video showed them. Would you mind sharing what went through your mind, what your first reaction was? Shock, but not surprised. I was surprised and outraged at the way in which our actual official government was treating it and portraying it. We were sent this image of a similar protest in Middletown. The Department of Homeland Security has reiterated that they believe the shooting was justified. DHS posted on Exang in part, quote, New evidence shows that the anti-ICE agitator was stalking and impeding a law enforcement operation over the course of the morning. The evidence speaks for itself, end quote. And DHS Secretary Kristi Noem continued to back her agents Sunday morning. So these individuals that are out there harassing them while they do that work, doxing their identities, threatening them and their families, it's unacceptable.
