According to Adobe Commerce, a significant portion of holiday returns occur in the week after Christmas. Store representatives indicated that most post-holiday deals and inventory clearances will last about a week, with shoppers encouraged to act quickly for winter merchandise.

We swung to the outlets at Castle Rock and it turns out that the day after Christmas is actually super busy for a few reasons. A lot of people have gift cards. They're looking to sell. They're looking to return items that they maybe don't want or don't fit. And a lot of the stores here have tons of clearance sales. It wasn't quite at Black Friday levels, but the outlets at Castle Rock certainly were busy. Many were looking to return gifts they received. According to Adobe Commerce, one out of every eight returns last holiday season took place in the week following Christmas. Others were here to spend their newly received gift cards. The outlets here even have a special gift card that works at any store in the mall, but most people we talked to were here to get those one or two items on their list. They didn't receive this spring merchandise will be hitting the store soon, so they're clearing out their winter and holiday. Inventories and you're going to get great deals starting today.
