Two parents in Milwaukee have been charged with a dozen counts of child neglect after police discovered six children locked inside a storage unit. The children, ranging in age from two months to nine years, were found after authorities responded to a report of a child crying.

According to police, the parents were found sleeping in a nearby parking lot and stated they were homeless, though they said the children could have stayed with relatives. The parents are expected to make their initial court appearance soon.

News charges have now been filed against the two Milwaukee parents after six Children were found locked inside a storage unit. 33 year old child depreased and 26 year old Zia Zelinsky are facing a combined dozen charges of neglecting a child. According to the criminal complaint, police responded to a report of a child crying inside a storage unit on September 16th at 1 30 a.m. Officers located six Children between the ages of two months old and nine years old. The Children told officers they were not supposed to be loud. Less than an hour later, the parents were located sleeping in a nearby parking lot. The parents told officers that they were homeless, but the Children could have stayed with relatives. They are now expected to make their initial court appearance today.
