Their demonstration is met with Israeli tanks, automatic machine guns, and intimidation. We want to go back to our homes. We need to find a solution for our demolished homes. What's the government going to do about the homes? The displaced who can't pay for rent, where do we go? Since January, Israel has carried out large-scale military raids on the north of the occupied West Bank, mainly targeting Tolkaram, Jenin, and Norsham's refugee camps. Israel's siege on the occupied West Bank has also been followed by growing settler violence towards Palestinians, destruction of property, and arson. Israel's army has deemed the camps closed military areas, threatening to shoot at those that try to re-enter. Shirin Jaber is a mother of three that was displaced from Norsham's refugee camp. Her husband was detained by the Israeli military, and she currently has no source of income. We demand to return home. Ten months of displacement. Once we were refugees, now displaced. I'm a proud refugee. It's part of who I am. I want a decent life. I lost my beauty salon in 2024 in an Israeli attack. No one helped. Many of those forcefully displaced have ended up renting homes in nearby towns. Others have been taken in by family members. For Khairi Abu Nasser, the scenes that play out in front of him are nothing new, nor is his conviction to return. We keep coming back here to say no to the occupation for 77 years, and we will always come back to say enough is enough. We will stay here steadfast. They may have their weapons, but we have our rights, and we'll always ask for what is ours. For these Palestinians, they'll continue to demand justice. For them, it's not a question of if, but more so when they will rightfully return.
