Negotiations are ongoing, but union representatives state that management has not agreed to their demands. Northwell Health has been contacted for comment but has not yet responded to the situation.

Meantime, in just a few days, more than 1000 nurses at three Long Island hospitals could walk off the job. A deal still has not been reached between Northwell Health and nurses at Huntington, Syosset and Plainview hospitals. Those nurses voted to authorize a strike last Friday after the deadline with Northwell expired. They're asking for a better staff to patient ratio. We are negotiating every day we are negotiating for a fair contract. It's a management corporation as those three wealthiest hospital, including Northwell in Long Island, that are not willing to come to the table and negotiate with us. We are willing nurses and I going on strike. Management's are putting nurses on strike on Monday. If they don't come to the table and negotiate a fair contract. And we have reached out to Northwell for a comment. We're still waiting to hear back from them.
