Sydney police are investigating a series of violent incidents that occurred within a few hours, including three shootings and two vehicles set on fire across several suburbs. The incidents began with a shooting at a Fairfield home, followed by an attack on a caravan in Bosley Park, and culminated in a business being targeted in Wetherill Park, with multiple vehicles later found burnt out.

Authorities have not yet confirmed if the incidents are directly linked but suspect organised crime may be involved, with up to six individuals believed to be responsible. Police are coordinating efforts across regions to identify and apprehend those involved, emphasizing that such crimes will not be tolerated.

In the space of just a few hours, three shootings, two torched vehicles and now one tangled web of crimes left for investigators to unravel. The first gunshots erupted at a Fairfield home around 11 o'clock last night. Putting the pedal to the metal. The gunman disappears in a black SUV. After a couple of moments we just see a heli and they were just patrolling in the area. A man and woman in their 20s with no criminal history, physically uninjured but traumatised. I just want to be clear that even though they weren't hurt, this sort of stuff just won't be tolerated. 40 minutes later and just 5km away, a single round pierced through a caravan belonging to an innocent Bosley Park couple in their 80s. I don't know why, I don't owe any money to anybody. Maybe we're going to sell the house, buy a small unit and get out of here before it's too late. A white sedan forming part of this crime scene. It's kind of scary, right next door, but yeah it's pretty common in the area. Then around 3am in the neighbouring suburb of Wetherill Park, a business, the next target, recently caught up in another violent crime. 10 News understands a man armed with a knife walked into this towing company last Friday and was involved in a brawl. He then emerged covered in blood and left in a white car. Still working through that and obviously it will be part of our enquiries about whether that has triggered something that was linked to last night. Police say a black SUV was captured leaving this scene similar in description to one found burnt out soon after in Kings Langley. Neighbours say a white Lexus was parked just across the road, its plates reduced to ashes minutes later in Layla Park. While it's still unclear if any of these incidents are linked, police believe they have organised crime written all over them and up to six people may be behind them. We've got responses across the region and across other regions and we'll do everything we can to identify these offenders and bring them to justice as quickly as possible. Olivia Blunden, 10 News.
