At least nine people have been killed and many others injured in an Israeli bombing of an aid truck in Deir el-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, according to witnesses cited by the Wafa news agency. Israeli army also bombed residential buildings across southern Gaza, killing at least 90 people in the last 24 hours.

These people are running for cover after Israeli soldiers fired on a relief convoy in their al-Balakh. Several Palestinians were killed as they were trying to get much-needed food to survive. I was on my way to the water well. Suddenly we were showered with missiles. Shrapnel flying around, body parts in the air, torn to pieces. It's beyond description. This is the second time in a week Israeli forces have targeted a crowd waiting for food. On Thursday at least 118 Palestinians were killed and hundreds injured while trying to climb on a truck carrying aid. According to UN workers, many of them had gunshot wounds. But Israel says it was largely the result of a stampede. Famine is ravaging Gaza. Despite some aid dropping from the sky, the supplies fall far short of the immense need on the ground. We need a ceasefire. We need it immediately. We know it. We repeat it. To be able to increase humanitarian aid, airdrops will not solve this. We need a sustained ceasefire to bring in a safe way aid to the people and medical care as well. The constant shelling and airstrikes are worsening the humanitarian crisis. In Arafa, in the south, this was the home of the Abu Anza family. But now it's razed to the ground. Rania's entire family was killed, including her newborn twins. We were sleeping. I felt like a barrel of water hit me. My babies were next to me. I called on them. Then people told me that my babies were dead and their father was dead too. People here say the Israeli army is targeting the last few pockets of safety left in Gaza. And families like Rania's are caught in the crossfire. I'm heartbroken. The Israelis could have killed one child and left me another. But they're both dead. They're both gone. How can I bring them back? Tell me how. In Khan Yunis, some people have been ordered to move to another area again. This voice message by an Israeli soldier says the area near the Hamad Towers is an active combat zone. After five months of war and more than 30,000 Palestinians killed, human rights organizations warn life is slowly draining out of Gaza. They say only an immediate ceasefire can bring an end to the suffering.
