Many injured, some already dead. But this was just one of five strikes on Saturday. Gaza officials say dozens were killed, including several children. Many asked themselves, if there's a ceasefire, why does the killing continue? A truce means a complete ceasefire. They on one side and we on the other. Then they negotiate the stages we want. But it can't be like this, with them attacking us and us attacking them. That's unacceptable. This isn't life. We can't live like this and neither can they. Therefore we must abide by it. Israel said Saturday's strikes killed five senior Hamas militants and came in response to what it called an armed terrorist crossing the so-called yellow line and shooting at Israeli soldiers. Similar strikes earlier in the week killed at least 33 Gazans, including a dozen children. Hamas has accused Israel of fabricating pretexts to continue the war. With hundreds of Gazans dead since the ceasefire took effect on October 10th, Israel is drawing criticism from the UN. Meanwhile in Israel, thousands gathered Saturday and demanded Netanyahu's government be held to account. On October 7th, the state abandoned its citizens. Those who were supposed to protect them did not arrive or arrive too late. And this is not a failure. It is not a mistake. It is not just a blunder. The government of Israel failed in its most important mission, to protect its children, to protect its citizens, not to abandon soldiers on the battlefield without rescue and without assistance.
