The imbalance of power and profit demands a shift in the way black students are treated and educated from the very individuals they fail to stand by in matters of diversity, equity and inclusion. If any institution is to reap the benefits of black talent, it is only right that they completely invest in black futures. Now in a tweet last week, Emmett Smith, one of the most accomplished athletes to Donna Gators uniform, said that he was quote utterly disgusted by the way that he was treated. He's not a black student. He's not a black athlete. Smith meanwhile, in his own tweet, responded to the University of Florida News, saying that D I is a tox is toxic and has no place in our public universities.
