Early voting in Brooklyn ended with more than 189,000 residents casting their ballots over a nine-day period. The borough saw consistently high turnout each day, except for the first day of early voting on October 25.

Voters cited reasons such as avoiding long lines and using the opportunity to teach children about civic engagement. Early voting concluded at 5 PM, and in-person voting will resume on Election Day, with polls open from 6 AM to 9 PM.

Now to your vote 2025 coverage. Today was the last day for early voting polls closing at 5 PM across the borough. News 12's Karina Gary is in Canarsie speaking with Brooklynites about what brought them out early. For the last nine days, thousands of Brooklynites have gone to their local poll sites and casted their vote. I prefer it. Yeah, besides the first day on October 25th, Brooklyn has seen the highest voter turnout every day of early voting. It out the way, you know, before the madness and havoc that will happen on Tuesday. More than 189,000 Brooklyn residents voted early this year. So far, you know, it's always good to vote early. Some people using it as an opportunity to teach their kids. It's fun to see. See that I'm going to be up doing that one day while others just want to be the long lines because it gets packed on here. Like the line would be all the way down the street and I do not want to stay in here that long for that early voting wrapped up tonight at 5 PM and your next chance to vote in person will be on Tuesday on Election Day.
