Mollie O'Callaghan has made history by becoming the first woman to swim the 200 metre freestyle short course in under 1 minute 50 seconds. Competing in Westmont, O'Callaghan broke the previous world record, setting a new benchmark for the event.

Her achievement was recognised with a US$10,000 bonus for breaking the record. The performance was also highlighted as the play of the day, underscoring its significance in the swimming world.
