Texas authorities are searching for 19-year-old Camila Mendoza, who was last seen leaving her San Antonio home on the morning of December 24. Surveillance footage captured her outside her house, but her whereabouts remain unknown, and her cell phone was found turned off on her bed. 

The FBI has joined the investigation alongside local law enforcement, and the search has expanded to include about 70 community volunteers. The Bexar County Sheriff's Department is utilizing drones, cadaver dogs, and other resources to search an eight-mile radius around Mendoza's home.

So it's been an absolutely heart wrenching holiday season for the almost family as Camila Mendoza almost has been missing since Christmas, and she's been missing since Christmas Eve. The 19 year old was last seen on surveillance footage from a neighbor's camera early in the morning on the 24th. In the footage, she's wearing blue pajamas in a black hoodie and you see her grab something from her car which is parked outside her San Antonio home. Her car is still there, but the video does not show where Camila goes after her mother. Rosario says her daughter frequently goes for morning walks, but says Camila never returned that morning and her cell phone was turned off and left on her bed. It's been unsettled stories. Yes, we are hopeful every day. At times we are broken, but we are staying strong because my daughter is missing and we don't know where she is at. The search for Camila has become a community effort with about 70 volunteers helping over the weekend. The Bexar County Sheriff's Department says they're using drones, cadaver dogs, all their resources to mostly search in 8 mile radius around her home back to you.
