Two helicopters collided above Hammonton, New Jersey, and one person has died, officials say. CBS News' Elaine Quijano reports.

Two helicopters collided just before noon above an airport in Hammonton, New Jersey, according to the FAA. Both aircraft crashed behind a local residence, with only the pilots on board at the time of the incident. 

Residents nearby responded to the crash, assisting one of the pilots until emergency services arrived. Federal aviation investigators are currently reviewing air traffic control communications and other evidence to determine the cause of the collision.

Cell phone video captured the moment a helicopter spun out of control before crashing out of sight. I got one helicopter fully involved, I got another one in the woods down. The FAA says just before noon Sunday, two choppers collided above an airport in Hamilton, New Jersey near Philadelphia. Authorities say the pilots were the only ones on board. The helicopters crashed behind Caitlin Collins' house. I just heard this like, wub, wub, wub, wub, wub, wub, wub, wub, wub, and I knew it was close. And I just heard a loud bang and my husband, he just started screaming call 911, call 911. She told our Philadelphia station she couldn't get through, so she and her husband ran to the backyard. We saw a red helicopter on its side and there was a man in there and he was, um, he was breathing and he was looking around and I just, I just held his hand and told him everything was going to be okay. She and neighbors stayed until paramedics arrived. You don't know what to do. I'm not a medical professional, I'm not a medical anything, I can barely put a Band-Aid on correctly, you know? Federal aviation investigators are now looking into the cause of the crash. They'll be looking to see if there's any air traffic control communications.
