Shoppers in Las Vegas have shifted their focus to holiday shopping following the conclusion of two major local events. Many people on Fremont Street reported that they have not yet finished their Christmas shopping, with some citing shorter gift lists and reduced budgets compared to last year.

While some families are spending less due to travel or economic reasons, others have increased their budgets for new family members or are using the season to give back by supporting foster families. Shoppers are taking advantage of discounts and sales as the countdown to the holidays continues.

We just wrapped up two big events here in Las Vegas. So now everybody's focusing on finishing holiday shopping. So we headed out to Fremont Street to ask, are you done yet? Are you done with your Christmas shopping? I haven't quite finished my Christmas shopping yet. I have my kids, my nieces and nephews still to get. Tons of stuff, way too much. Couple more things for my husband. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas on Fremont with people looking for those last minute steals and deals to complete their holiday shopping lists. And many we spoke to say, those lists are a lot shorter this year compared to last. How's your budget this year compared to last year? The budget is not quite the same this year. I'm in Vegas right now. So my budget has significantly decreased. To get the most out of your Las Vegas experience, it's all about paying attention to the signs. Mark down prices, discounts, sales, everywhere you turn. Is your budget this year bigger or smaller? Bigger, now that we have a kid. We were proactive. And some are using the holiday season to show their generosity. Our family has gotten together and we take a foster family and we buy gifts for the foster family instead of doing our own gifts.
