Experts say convincing jurors on all the charges will be a challenge. I think it's pretty clear that the charge of transporting somebody across state lines in order to further prostitution is the government's easiest case. There's evidence that people were brought across straight state lines, that Mr. Combs paid money for flights, for hotels, made arrangements for meetings in hotels. The tougher charges are going to be the RICO racketeering charges and the sex trafficking charges. I think the government has a bit of an uphill battle proving those. That's really going to depend upon how credible they found the government's chief witnesses. Diddy's defense dismissed the prosecution's narrative, arguing the star's romantic relationships were messy, not criminal, calling them complicated love stories. His attorney even making light of the alleged freak-offs and the testimony of women who were in long-term relationships with Combs, arguing that Diddy was not the only man in America making homemade porn. But the government's key witness, Cassie Ventura, may have been the case's turning point. Cassie Ventura was very compelling. And what's even more compelling about her testimony is that it was corroborated by many, many people. And then you have his own assistants that testified. And they talked about the threatening nature of the enterprise, the threatening nature of working for Sean Combs. Twelve jurors now hold Diddy's fate in their hands if convicted he could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
