You've got eight men and four women that are entering day two of deliberations, and they have a big job. They have to look at over 30 witnesses that have testified throughout this trial and recall all of that evidence for a trial that has spanned nearly two months long. As you know, 55-year-old Sean Combs faces numerous charges, including racketeering, conspiracy and sex trafficking. He has pleaded not guilty. Now, within an hour of the start of the jury deliberations, as you mentioned, the foreperson presented a note to the court regarding concerns about one juror's ability to follow instructions. In response to that note, the judge sent them back to work and did not call any alternate. A second note was sent late in the day with the jury looking for clarification about what makes a person a drug distributor. The judge plans to address that later this morning. Now, inside the courtroom yesterday, Combs was at times yawning as the judge spoke to the jury. He also requested two books that he wanted to read while he waits, The Power of Positive Thinking and The Happiness Advantage. Prosecutors have argued that Combs was the leader of a criminal enterprise that forced women into engaging in illegal sex acts with male escorts. They also claim he supplied the women with drugs and threatened them with violence and blackmail to keep them silent. But the defense said this case is really about personal drug use, they say, and Combs' private sex life, adding all sexual encounters were consensual and Combs faces up to life in prison if convicted on the racketeering conspiracy.
