The Ghafre family in Sinjil is directly impacted by the construction of the wall, with their home isolated from other Palestinian towns. The Israeli government claims the wall is necessary to protect a road from acts such as rock-throwing by teenagers. The construction also involves the closure of most entrances to Sinjil, thus hindering access for landowners to their groves and farmland, threatening their livelihoods.

Residents have voiced worries about security, citing frequent attacks by Israeli settlers and repeated searches by Israeli forces. The family holds American citizenship and has reached out to the American embassy, requesting protection. Reports indicate that the Israeli authorities seized 35,000 square meters of Sinjil's land, effectively putting the town under siege. The escalating settler violence in the area, including attacks on Palestinians and Bedouins, has also been noted.

Approximately 8,000 Palestinians are expected to be affected by the wall's construction. The settlements in the occupied West Bank are considered illegal under international law, but the Israeli government continues to encourage their expansion. This wall is perceived by local communities as another step towards the confiscation of Palestinian land.

To see a teenager that they're going to come down and jeopardize their life all the way from the village to an open land where there's a lot of spotlights. Siad is worried about having a wall on one side of his home and an Israeli military road on the other. The family has been attacked by Israeli settlers several times and the house searched frequently by Israeli forces. The family holds American citizenship and is pleading for help. I've said it to the American embassy several times, what is it going to take to protect us? By closing most entrances, the wall effectively isolates the town and will stop landowners from being able to get to their groves and farmland. The people here say their livelihoods are at stake. The Israeli authorities are keen to place Sinjil under siege. One year ago they took 35,000 square meters of land. This means Sinjil will never be in contact with the rest of the region. Israeli authorities and Israeli settlers are trying their best to confiscate land and humiliate the people. Israeli settlers have attacked several Palestinians and Bedouins in the area in April. One Palestinian was killed and several homes burned and destroyed. The occupied territory has seen a major increase in Israeli military raids and settler attacks in the past year. It's a campaign organized by the Israeli military and settlers. Everything has happened in front of the army's eyes. They gave settlers all the time to attack us. They even paved the way for the attackers to withdraw. 8,000 Palestinians are expected to be affected by the construction of this wall. The occupied West Bank settlements are considered illegal under international law. Yet the Israeli government has actively encouraged them. And now people here say it's constructing walls in another attempt to seize more Palestinian land.
