I have friends who were murdered on October 7, and until now nothing has been done to investigate or to prevent such a disaster from ever happening again. The government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has so far refused to form an independent commission. Last week, it voted to launch its own self-mandated inquiry. Critics say this will only look to downplay the government's responsibility.
