Gazan authorities say Israeli airstrikes on multiple locations on Saturday killed at least 20 people, while Israel says it attacked what it called an armed terrorist who fired at soldiers in an Israeli-held area. Since the ceasefire, Hamas has not stopped violating it, and we are acting accordingly. There have been several attempts by it to penetrate our territory beyond the yellow line and to try to harm our soldiers. We've thwarted it with great force and also responded and exacted a very heavy price. That's a lot of terrorists that we've eliminated, and also terrorists that we've captured from the tunnels in Rafah. All the talk that we must receive approval for this from one source or another is simply a complete lie. Hamas, for its part, has condemned what it says is Israel's continued violation of the ceasefire agreement. It says that since the 10th of October deal, Israeli forces have continued airstrikes and artillery attacks in eastern Gaza, repeatedly pushing its agreed deployment line westward. A Hamas delegation met with international mediators in Cairo on Sunday, calling on them to intervene.
