Oppenheimer came in leading and continues to lead in terms of the trophy total on many of those categories. You mentioned best director going to Christopher Nolan for that remarkable picture about the father of the atomic bomb, Killian Murphy for becoming the father of the atomic bomb for cinematography for editing and more so, you know, six awards and counting make that seven now and so that is the best director of all time. It's the best director of all time. It's one of the biggest prizes at the Oscars, an amazing over three hour long ambitious film. Some say the most artful of Christopher Nolan's career and certainly the Academy agreeing with that. Also a great night for poor things and a bit of a surprise in the best actress category for months now was expected that Lily Gladstone of killers of the Flower Moon would make history as the first indigenous woman to win the best actress award. She has won many other awards including makeup and costume but best actress is a great feather in its cap for this fabulous feminist Frankenstein tale. But I also want to talk about speaking of fantastic Ben Proudfoot, Canada's own Halifax filmmaker in the short documentary category winning his second Oscar. Ian, this guy has the Oscar formula down. He's made a new film co-directing the last two years. It's really about how instruments that kids play in music programs here in Los Angeles get repaired. It's really about the difference music can make in both the lives of the repair technicians and the children and Proudfoot is an Oscar winner once again. It is fantastic. And what highlights really stood out for you tonight? You know, we're always looking for surprises because I speak about Oppenheimer. There's been a predictability to this year's Oscar nomination, but we did have some amazing surprises. Godzilla minus one, which is a ferocious Godzilla movie directed by Takashi Yamazaki, one in best visual effects. Not too shabby for a film made for only $10 million, beating out Marvel movies with, you know, multiple times that budget. But finally, Ryan Gosling did not win supporting actor, but he gave us one last Ken-tastic performance performing I'm just Ken live at the Dolby Theater with an army of backup and dancers slash on guitar wailing on the guitar solos, and you could see that smile on Gosling's face. I think he's happy to give us one last look at that amazing character.
