Daytime temperatures are expected to reach the 90s and even triple digits, with nighttime lows remaining around 80 degrees.

Authorities are warning of a major to extreme heat risk, which can affect all individuals, not just vulnerable populations. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, remain in cool environments, consider limiting outdoor activities, and seek air conditioning where possible. Concerns over potential power outages have also been raised, with public spaces like libraries and stores recommended as cooling options.

For many of us, it's going to be all week long. We're talking about daytime highs. They're going to be brutal in the 90s and triple digits. And then at night, we're only dropping it down to like 80. So you can see the red, even the purple on the map, that's extreme in terms of our heat risk today, tomorrow, stretching from the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, all the way into the Hudson Valley of New York, all the way down toward the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast as well. Major to extreme heat risk is involved here. That means all of us, you know, are prone to suffering from any kind of heat stress out there, not just the young and elderly. So definitely stay hydrated in a cool place, consider canceling any outdoor activities, get in the air conditioning whenever possible. And you know, with the power outages, that could be a problem too. So hopefully you're able to get to a place like the library or the store where you can kind of get a break from the heat.
