The situation has resulted in casualties, with the Gaza Health Ministry reporting at least 20 Palestinians killed in recent airstrikes. The directive for civilians in Rafah to move towards a humanitarian corridor has disrupted lives, with many facing displacement. Internationally, the United States is actively engaging in diplomacy to prevent the escalation of conflict, with President Joe Biden expressing opposition to a ground invasion and advocating for a ceasefire.
