Residents in Gaza are experiencing uncertainty and risk as they attempt to return to their homes near areas marked by the Israeli military's 'yellow line.' Reports indicate multiple attacks on families trying to cross back into these zones, resulting in casualties and injuries. The lack of clear signage or boundaries has made it difficult for people to determine which areas are restricted, increasing the danger for displaced families.

Additionally, the ongoing demolition of residential clusters in some neighborhoods is reportedly linked to the expansion of the yellow line, further deepening displacement and obstructing recovery for Gazans. The situation has turned previously normal neighborhoods into hazardous zones, with residents expressing concerns about the erosion of normal life and the challenges of navigating the uncertain environment.

Let's go to Hani Mahmood who joins us now live from Gaza City. Hani, so this attack in Rafa illustrating how fragile the ceasefire is. Well, Maleen, so far, earlier today, this was not the only attack. We counted up to three attacks involving family members trying to go back to their homes in what seemed to be now behind the yellow line created by this very military were shot at and some of them were critically injured. Others were were killed. One of tens of violations so far in a breach of the agreement of the ceasefire targeting families, displaced families, who are trying to get back to their homes in Rafa and the central area as well as in the city of Hanun. What's going on in Hanun is a little bit different because it involves the ongoing demolition of residential cluster. Whatever remained in that area has been destroyed by the Israeli military in a preparation for expanding the yellow line imposed by the Israeli military. In essence, this yellow line imposed by the Israeli military is not just a military control measure on the ground, but rather a tool of restriction and separation. It continues to deepen the sense of displacement, obstruct recovery and eroding, as we talked to people, eroding a sense of normal life for many of Gazans here and turning large areas, normal neighborhoods, clusters, public facilities, home clusters, have turned into very deadly areas now. As soon as people approach these areas are being shot at and and killed within just a few meters of the imaginary yellow line created by the Israeli military, as it's not clear in all the areas. Some areas do not have signage, do not have visible marking, making it very difficult for people to know exactly where they're going or whether they're going into a restricted area or not.
