The incident took place following an album release party for rapper Mellow Bucks. According to police, a dark-colored vehicle drove past the location and someone opened fire, though the number of shooters remains unconfirmed. Victims were transported to multiple hospitals, with their conditions ranging from good to critical. Authorities have not yet identified any suspects and continue to investigate the incident.

And a special good morning to you. I'm Nate Rogers here in River North. Very tragic situation and mass shooting taking place overnight. Here's what we know. The latest from Chicago police. 18 people shot four killed outside of this nightclub here that you see behind me the artists restaurant and lounge. As you can see, Chicago police and the fire department just left the scene within the last 30 minutes or so. Here's what we know so far. Police tell us a dark colored vehicle drove past the location someone pulled out a gun and started shooting it's unconfirmed. The number of shooters right now. We do know that the sidewalk remains to be littered with blood, shoes, and clothing. The shooting happened right outside of this restaurant and lounge located at 311 West Chicago Ave just after 11 o'clock last night. We did confirm that it happened following an album release party for a rapper and songwriter. He was shot in the head. For a rapper by the name of Mellow Bucks, there were several people in attendance and apparently when folks came outside, that's when the gunfire erupted. Now we did speak to Street Pastor Donovan Price, who went to multiple hospitals and just described the chaos that he saw there from victims trying to get services, get treated. Also loved ones trying to connect with those victims at this hour. Right now we're still waiting to hear more details from Chicago police specifically on a description of the vehicle involved or even the gunman police telling us no suspects are in custody at this time, but again, the latest update 18 people shot outside of this nightclub. Four people killed. The remaining victims remain. Their conditions range from good condition to critical condition. Of course, we'll continue to talk about that and monitor it all morning and throughout the day as the latest in River North Nate Rogers Fox 32 Chicago.
