The incident led to the girl's temporary expulsion, while the accused student remained in school until later charged with distributing doctored photos. 

Authorities have since launched an investigation, with the sheriff's office filing charges and indicating more may follow. The family is planning to move their daughter to a private school and intends to file a lawsuit against the school district, highlighting growing concerns over the accessibility and misuse of AI-powered deepfake technology among teenagers.

Generated explicit photos of his 13 year old daughter at her middle school. Katie Weiss has more cell phone video captured the moment a 13 year old Louisiana girl slapped a classmate last August because he allegedly showed A. I. Generated nude photos of her and her friends to other students. Her father says she was expelled from school while the boy was allowed to stay. Naturally, it's upsetting. Of course, my lawyers presented him with a photo of him showing the photos on the bus and still the boy was allowed to stay at school. Yes, ma'am. Lafourche Parish officials said school staff at a resource officer immediately launched an investigation but found no evidence of the photos. Weeks later, after cell phones were confiscated, the sheriff's office charged the boy with 10 counts of distributing A. I. Doctored photos. The girl was allowed back to school last week. She's dealt with, you know, depression, anxiety. Ultimately, we're worried about her mental health in the future. There are now hundreds of A. I. Powered apps that can turn regular photos into pornography. A recent study found one in 17 teens reported being a victim of deep fake imagery. Unfortunately, there's a really easy pathway to discovery of these kinds of notifying apps. You can go to any major search engine or app store and find it with minimal effort. Meanwhile, this family is looking for accountability and a fresh start. School wise, we're gonna be putting my daughter in a private school. Both the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office and the local school district declined to comment in this case. However, police say more charges could be coming against a second boy and that the girl's family plans to file suit against the school district as early as next week for CBS Saturday morning.
