Analysts warn losing Venezuela's support could push the island into its deepest crisis yet, unless allies come to the rescue. There is no doubt that the lack of Venezuelan support is a danger and a threat to Cuba. There is confirmed information that a Chinese envoy has been in Havana and also on a Russian position. Cuba used to send health workers and security personnel to Venezuela in exchange for support. But dozens of Cuban security officers were killed in the US operation.
