A police-involved shooting occurred after officers responded to a burglary at a GameStop store in Chicago's northwest side. Police observed a group of armed individuals breaking into the store and fleeing in two vehicles—a white Chrysler sedan and a red Jeep SUV. During the pursuit, one of the vehicles struck an officer, prompting the officer to fire their weapon. Both suspect vehicles crashed several miles away, and the suspects fled on foot. Authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the incident.

Both vehicles later crashed about five miles away in East Village. The suspects ran from the scene. So far, no arrests have been made.
