This event saw 245 men lifting their partners, which included wives, girlfriends, sisters, or mothers, in the specified manner. They successfully maintained this position for a minute, a feat that was officially certified by representatives from Guinness World Records, setting a new benchmark in this extraordinary category.

In Phnom Penh, International Women's Day apparently meant holding a competition to see which man could carry their women for the longest. Rayan Vichit and his wife, Him Pissy, saw off 244 other couples and set a new world record, holding their embrace for a staggering 8 hours and 20 minutes. I prayed to my father, who just passed away, to help me gather all my strength to win this competition. Wives, girlfriends, sisters and mothers were hoisted into the so-called bridal carry position, some more traditional than others, and battled it out in an attempt to win a car, a motorbike or cash, courtesy of an energy drink company. Chen Sofuan and Pao Danet lasted 8 hours, but it wasn't enough. I'm still very happy because even though we didn't get the car, we could still join this competition on International Women's Day to honour all women. They also broke the record for the most people performing a bridal carry at the same time, a huge success for feminism of course, after the same event last year failed to set any records.
