Authorities report that a 24-year-old man, who had been drinking with Vincent near the river, reported him missing after the teen fell into the water and disappeared.

The man has been charged with tampering with evidence and contributing to the unruliness of a minor by providing alcohol to Vincent. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the death, and Vincent's family has requested privacy as they grieve.

This is news five at 11. I'm Michelle Darbo along the Black River in Elyria where Vincent Pabon's family has been gathered for days waiting for news about the missing 16 year old. This afternoon police found and recovered Vincent's body. After three days of searching. We have been in constant communication with both of his parents throughout this incident and their strength is is unbelievable. On foot, on the water and by air. At least at this point they they have some preliminary answers and Vincent has been recovered. Elyria Police Captain Bill Lance says a drone pilot spotted the teen's body. Then the fire department arrived and retrieved him from the basin at the bottom of the East Falls. First and foremost I just want to say that our our hearts and thoughts go out to the family of Vincent during this very difficult and challenging time. Police say a 24 year old man reported Vincent missing Thursday morning. The man said Vincent fell into the water and disappeared. Police say the man and Vincent had been drinking alcohol near the river. We've already conducted and gathered a lot of evidence and information relevant to the initial circumstances. The 24 year old man has been charged with tampering with evidence and contributing to the unruliness of a minor by giving the teen alcohol. Police say the hunt for answers will continue. At this point with it being a death investigation everything is on the table. But at least the search and the camp out near the river is done.
