He cited his neurological health by referencing a recent physical examination and the subsequent release of his medical records. Nonetheless, a number of House Democrats and other key party figures have openly questioned whether Biden should continue his bid for a second term.

This period is considered critical for Biden as discussions among House and Senate Democrats could influence his support on Capitol Hill. Reports indicate that the party may consider private interventions or a more public approach to encourage Biden to withdraw from the race. Biden continues to personally appeal to members of Congress, warning that a lack of support could lead to a Trump victory in the upcoming election.

It's a tactic not seen since 1974, when Richard Nixon was president, or Democrats could choose the nuclear option, calling for Biden to step aside with a public statement. For now, Biden remains on the offense, reaching out to members of Congress. He's already called dozens by phone.
